Have you ever looked up into the sky and wondered what’s going on up there?
Join us at Wesselman Woods for Second Thursday! to explore, learn, and experience the ups, downs, and all arounds of the SKY!
Children ages 10 – 14 explore nature & science through themed lessons incorporating hands-on activities, experiments, animal encounters, and outdoor experiences. Classes meet on the second Thursday of each month. Children can attend one, a few, or all of the scheduled classes. We offer sessions at three times: 10:30-12:00; 1:00 – 2:30; 4:00 – 5:30.
Price: $20 for all four sessions, $7 nonmembers for one session, $6 with membership for one session
September 12th: The Night Sky
October 10th: There & Back
November 14th: Clouds Above
December 12th: Towering Trees
This is a drop-off program, though parents and siblings are welcome to visit the nature center and trails during class time with presentation of a valid membership card or payment of admission. While the program is perfect for homeschoolers, it is open to any child.
The fee is $7 nonmembers / $6 members per class per child. Registration and payment must be received no later than the Tuesday before each class, but classes typically fill well in advance so plan accordingly. Due to the popularity of the program, we cannot hold spots without payment. Classes will be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met.
Please contact Zach Garcia at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about our programming or registration.
